CASL Commercial Electronic Message Policy

Schkovl Technologies and Digital Systems Architecture ("Schkovl Tech", "we", "us", or "our") sends commercial electronic messages (CEMs) — including outreach emails about our services — in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This page explains how we identify ourselves, what basis we rely on to contact you, and how to stop receiving messages from us.

1. Identification

Every commercial electronic message we send identifies Schkovl Technologies and Digital Systems Architecture as the sender. If we ever send a message on behalf of another person or organization, that message will identify them as well. We do not send CEMs under a name other than our own.

2. Our basis for contacting you

We only send a first, unsolicited commercial message when at least one of these applies:

• Your contact information was conspicuously published (a website, business directory, or public listing) without a statement that you do not wish to receive unsolicited messages, and the message we send is relevant to your role or business.
• You have an existing business relationship with us — for example, you purchased from us within the last two years, or made an inquiry within the last six months.
• You gave express consent, for example by submitting our intake or contact form.

Before contacting anyone under the conspicuous-publication basis, we record the source, the date, and why the message is relevant to that recipient's role or business.

3. Your right to unsubscribe

Every commercial electronic message we send includes a working way to unsubscribe, at no cost, using the same electronic method used to send it. You can also unsubscribe at any time at schkovl.com/unsubscribe, or by emailing build@schkovl.com with "unsubscribe" in the subject line.

4. What happens after you unsubscribe

We action unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by CASL. Once actioned, we will not send you further commercial electronic messages unless you separately re-consent (for example, by submitting a new intake request). Unsubscribing does not affect messages related to an active engagement or legal obligation.

5. Scope

This policy covers commercial electronic messages only. It does not limit your rights under our Privacy Policy, and does not apply to transactional messages about an active project you have engaged us for.
