Architecture before spend
Every engagement starts with a Gap Analysis — we audit what's actually broken before recommending a build, a rewrite, or a marketing push. We've walked away from work where the fix was operational, not technical.
Company
Schkovl is a Toronto-based digital systems company. We build the operational and technical infrastructure that gets a business found, trusted, and running efficiently — websites, SEO/AEO, custom software, and agentic AI systems — on the same underlying method: find what's actually broken before you build or spend anything to fix it.
Every engagement starts with a Gap Analysis — we audit what's actually broken before recommending a build, a rewrite, or a marketing push. We've walked away from work where the fix was operational, not technical.
Once a project is paid in full, you own the custom code and deliverables outright. The only things that stay ours are our own pre-existing internal tooling and any third-party or open-source components — never your build.
We build on open, standard tooling you can hand to any other team afterward — not a proprietary framework that only we can maintain.
When we claim a result, we show the before/after and the test that produced it. Our NorthGuard case study — 35/100 to 98/100 on the same technical SEO audit, re-run against the live site — is the pattern we hold every engagement to.
We'd rather show one real, verifiable result than list ten capabilities. NorthGuard Window Film's technical SEO audit score moved from 35/100 to 98/100 in one month after we fixed a site-wide rendering bug — same test suite, run twice against the live site, one month apart.
