RKL Demolition & Excavation: a launch that waits for confirmed facts
Schkovl built the website for RKL Demolition & Excavation, a demolition and excavation contractor in Burlington. The site is live, but only the pages whose facts are confirmed are open to search engines. The rest are published for visitors and marked noindex until they are signed off.

What we did
- Built 14 pages in Astro and TypeScript, from demolition, excavation and site cleanup to a service-area hub and three town pages.
- Gave every claim a verified flag, so a release build rejects page text nobody has confirmed.
- Opened 6 pages to search and held 8 behind noindex until the owner confirms their facts, with per-page approval tests.
- Pointed the www address and rklexcavation.ca at the main domain with permanent redirects.
Why we launched this way
A contractor's website is judged on specifics: equipment, insurance, years in business and past jobs. Filling those gaps with stock photos or guesses would have been faster, and it would have put claims in front of customers that nobody had checked.
So the site launched with what was confirmed and leaves the rest out until the owner supplies it. A visitor can still read every page. Search engines only index the ones that are ready.
How the gate works
Every claim in the site's content carries a verified flag. A page that still depends on an unconfirmed fact is published with a noindex tag and kept out of the sitemap. Automated tests check each page's approval state before a release, so an unconfirmed claim cannot reach a search result by accident.
The home page, the service-area hub and the Burlington, Hamilton and Oakville pages are open to search today. The other eight pages wait for sign-off.
What opens next
As each held page is confirmed, it moves into the sitemap. Once they are open, a before-and-after crawl of the same URLs can become a measured case study.
